IMPORTANT - Odyssians Camp 2010
Helpers arrive on site at 2pm Saturday 7th August 2010
Disabled Participants arrive after 10am on Sunday 8th August 2010.

Disabled Participants (requiring any form of personal care) MUST NOT arrive on site until after 1000 hours on the Sunday.

Helpers will be arriving at the usual time on the Saturday and this will allow essential training to take place, ensuring all helpers are taught how to use the new building and all it's facilities (hoists, bath, fixtures and fittings, etc.)

It is also very important that disabled participants
arrange to be collected from site BEFORE 10am
on Saturday 14th August 2010.

This will then allow all helpers to focus on the huge amount of work required to clear and tidy the site before the 12 noon hand-over.

Odyssians is attended by campers falling into two categories; disabled participants (formerly known as campers) and volunteer helpers.

The new Phase I building obviously uses more electricity and gas to heat and operate the new equipment and therefore there will be an inevitable increase in costs passed on to each camp attending Woodlarks. There will also be additional costs involved in paying for compulsory CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks for each and every helper attending camp. Unfortunately, this means that camp fees for 2010 will increase by a larger amount than usual and for the first time there will be a difference in the amounts payable by disabled participants and voluntary helpers, as follows:

Disabled Participants - £120.00

Able-Bodied Helpers - £100.00

To clarify this, a disabled participant is defined as anyone requiring any form of personal care (i.e. personal assistance from a voluntary helper).

There are consessionary rates for children of helpers under 12 or over 12 & under 16. Please contact Louise for details.

There are many ways to pay your camp fees. Go to the DONATIONS AND CAMP FEES page for more information.
